Discover the remote landscapes of Patagonia on a horseback riding expedition through the Río Caterina Valley at Estancia Cristina. After sailing across Lago Argentino, meet your professional guide at the Monturero, saddle up, and receive an introductory talk before beginning the ride.
Travel through the expansive glacial landscape toward Lago Pearson, surrounded by mountains and lagoons. Along the way, stop at a mountain refuge for lunch and take time to enjoy the isolation and vastness of the Patagonian wilderness.
The experience is open to riders aged 6 years and up. For the safety of guests and the well-being of the horses, each rider is matched with an appropriate horse according to riding experience and physical condition. The maximum permitted rider weight is 95 kg / 210 lb, and wearing the helmet provided by Estancia Cristina is mandatory.
The horseback riding expedition operates from October 1st to April 30th.

Your adventure begins with a navigation across Lago Argentino, sailing among clusters of icebergs on the way to Estancia Cristina.
Upon arrival, you will meet your professional guide at the Monturero. After being assigned a suitable horse, you will saddle up and receive an introductory talk before setting out into the Río Caterina Valley.
The ride takes you through the remote valley and across the expansive glacial landscapes surrounding Estancia Cristina. Mountains and lagoons accompany the journey toward Lago Pearson, where you will reach a mountain refuge and stop for lunch while enjoying the peaceful surroundings.
After the break, ride back through the valley to the Monturero. If the day’s schedule allows, there may also be time to visit the Pioneer History Museum before boarding the catamaran for the return navigation to Puerto Punta Bandera.
